Winter In the Pocono Mountains of PA

Well winter has finally set in here in the Pocono Mountains and all my local friends have come by for a free meal. At least someone is using the picnic table. I've seen more Turkey this year then in the past few winters and the Deer are fewer in number then last winter.
The Pocono's has a lot to offer. With Skiing being the biggest draw, There is still some good hiking to be done in the Local State Parks and Wild life refuge areas on Rout 115,  Ice fishing is not up to par with the thin ice we have but hopefully that will change in the next couple of weeks. Trout Fishing is still active on the Lehigh and the Toby having good water levels. Snowmobiling is happening in the Lackawanna State forest along with Hickory Run State Park. Not into the cold weather activities then maybe one of the many indoor Water Parks might interest you.  So come and enjoy all that the Pocono's has to offer this time of year.
