Waynes World in the Pocono's
Good Day to all, We finally have some nice weather here in the Poconos, the sun is shinning, temp is about 80+ with a lite breeze what else could we ask for? I Know how about no bugs (Little Black Knat is out in force right now) and I think I can actually hear the Grass growing. But I will take this over wet, cold and snowy any day just need to lite up a stogy and sit my butt on the tractor and go forward and oh yeah make sure I put the blade in cut mode and just 8 hours later it's all done, Think I need a bigger tractor or maybe a couple of horses and might as well throw in a goat or two to cut back the brush and brier because these guys just don't eat enough,(Picture above last summer deer and turkey taking over the place) Still looking to get out on the water to do a little more trout fishing but with all the rain the streams and river are up and out of their banks which doesn't make for great fishing but like they say a bad day fishing is better than a good day working(not sure about that), anyhoot, Things are looking up for the Poconos as far as Real Estate, Prices are down, Rates are still under 5 % and with the nice weather and tax time behind us it seems that the Buyers are out and starting their search for the Vacation home they have been dreaming about, whether it be on the water, tuck away in the woods or on the green at one of the many Golf courses we have here in the Blakeslee area. Waynes World in the Pocono's
Good day to all , Well the weatherman says we are getting snow on Saturday, here we go again. Like I said before we will get through this with no problem, It seems as if the Poconos is were a lot of people are spending this holiday weekend , roads are busy, Blakeslee Shopping center is crowded and the Restaurant parking lots are full, I guess if you have a place in the Poconos this is a nice long weekend for some to come up and get away, I over heard one of the agents in our office saw large Black bear while out on showings on Thursday over in the Emerald Lakes Area, I personally have not seen one as of yet but my big old rottie Conan (yes that is his name) can sense when they are on the property and I also noticed my neighbors trash was torn apart and scattered all over gotta keep my eyes and ears open when out at 6 am walking the big guy don't need to bump into momma bear and her cubs. Things are looking up in the Real Estate Market in the Poconos, with Lake Fronts at the top of every one list followed by homes in amenity filled communities and w there seems to be a lot more interest in homes with large acreage and the demand for Ski resort housing is always strong. If you are interested in any of these please START YOUR SEARCH HERE, Thanks Wayne

Waynes World in the Pocono's
Hi all, Well here we are at the end of the first week of April and we still had snow coming down, While I was over in Snow Ridge Village at Jack Frost Mountain I happen to come across a Red Fox on the run, he was not to concerned with me as he kept looking back at the guys working in the woods at the golf course, I happened to get this picture of him, So whats going on in the Real Estate Market in the Poconos, Things are picking up, Lakefront Properties are still at the top of every ones list, The Ski Chalet is always on the list of wants, Communities with Pools and Lakes are also at the top, Mortgage Rates are still low, If there was ever a time to buy now would be it. Only a week or so to the first day of Trout season in our area and with the ski slopes shutting down for the season and the water parks gearing up for theirs we as you could say are in a transition stage, I heard it will be 75 + on Monday, I will believe it when I see it, Finally got a picture of that little wood cock on my property 2 Actually, see if you can find him in the photos. If you are ever thinking of buying Real Estate in the Poconos you can start your search here. Bye Now, Remember to slow down and take a look around you might be surprised at what you find. Wayne

Waynes World in the Pocono's
Good day to all, lets see, what day is it ? oh yeah April first otherwise known as all fools day so I guess what we woke up to today is par for the course. (Check out the photos),well we were suppose to get a huge storm today lucky for us just 3-5 inches of the white stuff, the Ski resorts Jack Frost and Big Boulder in the Lake Harmony area and Camelback in the Tannersville area are all loving it. With only a couple of weeks until the opening day of Trout season all this snow is going to keep the creeks and streams at a higher level then normal making it a little more of a challenge to stalk the streams, I have seen the trout stocking trucks passing by, hope they have a few big ones in there, The Pocono Wildlife is starting to come out of their winter mode and traveling a lot, deer and bear are on the move, Geese and other migrating birds heading north and we had a pair Canada Geese stop at or place for a rest and to re-energize, still trying to get a photo of the little Woodcocks on the property, they are hard to see and really only get active right before the sun goes down, you can experience all this for yourself if you live or vacation here in the Poconos all you have to to is slow down and take a look around you will be surprised at what you see, Bye for now Wayne

Waynes World in the Pocono's
Well here we are again, The last week in March and looking forward to 2 possible snow storms, That's alright I think we can handle it. I was out this past Monday with a great couple and viewed 8 homes in 2 of our Pocono Communities with indoor Pools, outdoor pools and lakes with Beaches, first was Emerald Lakes this community has the location that most of the commuters are looking for, close to interstate 80 and shopping, the second was Big Bass Lakes, this community has the pools, beaches, lakes, club house like Emerald Lakes and their own private ski hill, and gated security, it is close to interstate 380, saw some great homes but are still in the hunt for that special one that just makes you feel right when you pull up to the place and when you walk in the front door you can see your self living there. While we were at Emerald Lakes we were lucky to see a now get this a River Otter not a beaver or groundhog or muskrat, it was on the stream behind one of the homes we were viewing sliding on the ice, I have lived here for 27 years and am a avid outdoors man and this is the first time I have seen one other then on the upper Delaware, just goes to show ya you never know what you are going to see in the Good old Poconos. Well see you later have to get ready for the next storm woho, Wayne

OK! I was only kidding with you MOTHER Nature, it might be spring everywhere else in the state PA, but oh no not here that happens on April 30th and then summer starts the next day, I am not sure if this is the Robin snow or the onion snow. I was in south Jersey on Sunday in a short sleeve shirt getting a nice dose of sun and it was about 65 out. Today 30+ with 4 to 5 inches of snow. What am I suppose to do sell ski resort housing all year round? OK enough wining already, things are still looking good for this year as far a Real Estate, Interest rates are still under 5 Percent, Houses are priced to sell and the Agents at Pocono Mountain Lakes are filling their Appointment books with buyers to view homes all over the Pocono Region, Areas such as Jim Thorpe, Hickory Run State Park, Lehigh River Gorge, Francis Walter Dam, Bradys Lake, are great places to see no matter what time of year it is. If these places sound like an area that you would like to vacation in or live full time near START YOUR SEARCH HERE.

Good day everyone, Ttoday the 18th of March is giving us a taste of spring here in the Blakeslee area,Canada geese and a few flock s of Snow geese have been seen flying north all week by my place and the little woodcock has made his presence known with his distinct call and flight at dusk each night this week, The only problem with spring time here in the Pocono Lake and Blakeslee area is one day its 60 and the next day it's snowing then summer happens all at once. The skiers are finishing up their season, the fisherman are getting ready for theirs. Me personally, I am just Glad to see the snow is gone for now but that only means one thing for me, LOTTTTSSSSS of grass to cut but I will take that over shoveling snow any day.
